“Silence was meaningful with the Indian,
and his granting a space of silence
before talking was done
in his practise of true politeness
and regardful of the rule that
“thought comes before speech.”

Digitally enhanced painting, Native American theme.
(prints available to order)
One of my first watercolour paintings from 15 years ago, now digitally retouched and restored to a much better standard.
Inspired by Internet image I found many years ago, author unknown.
Native American culture is one of my long-term interests; their connection to nature, social connections, timeless deep wisdom, and tragic history, which should teach human kind to be better today.
Will we ever learn not to be superior over one another?
